Opening FOREIGN LAND
The VU ART SCIENCE gallery is pleased to invite you to the opening of Foreign Land on Thursday, November 7, from 5 to 7 PM.
Foreign Land explores the theme of migration through a range of artworks that offer the perspective of those living in between cultures. The exhibition aims to rediscover the human aspect of migration by exploring why people move across continents and how it shapes them, looking at the intersect between private and national identities. With work by Abul Hisham, Susanne Khalil Yusef, Benjamin Li and Anthony Ngoya.
The exhibition will be formally opened with a speech by Chief Diversity Officer Prof. dr. Sharda Nandram. Throughout the opening, one of Susanne Khalil Yusef’s works will be activated.
