Opening Creating the Commons

May 11, 2023 | 5-7 PM

VU ART SCIENCE gallery is pleased to invite you to the opening of Creating the Commons, Thursday, May 11 from 5-7 PM.

Come and co-create a collective conscience, participate in a common reading with a plant and celebrate the open production of art and science with us.

The exhibition will open with the common reading STEM, a performance by artists’ collective Sunflower Soup in which visitors, artists and the natural world come together in sound and embodiment of knowledge. Jointly we will explore knowledge in its most organic and natural form. Piek Vossen, Professor of Language Technology, will contribute with a talk on the quality of science and transparency in knowledge creation.
